Home Learning Update

You said…..We did

In response to parental concerns about the quality of home learning for students we have worked with a group of parents on developing a new Home Learning Diary. We are going to trial this with Year 7 over this term.
All of year 7 will receive a simple version of the new diary to use throughout this term. We will evaluate this regularly and monitor the quality of home learning completed. Based on feedback from staff, students and parents we will finalise the most effective version of the home learning diary to be used by all students from September.

SIMS Learning Gateway (parental portal access) has been withdrawn due to limited uptake.  We will be investigating alternative solutions.

New enterprise portal launched

A new and exciting website has been launched to enhance the enterprise work that goes on at the college. Westfield Enterprise Network will act as a portal for all things enterprise that happens in and around Westfield Sports College. The website is live on the internet and can be accessed by students, teachers and parents at:

www.westfield-enterprise.net

The site contains information about enterprise projects and initiatives past and present. As Westfield continue to be innovative and enterprising, more information will be added regularly. Have a look and see what we are doing – there may be something you might want to get involved in!
