Westfield Sports College has continued to build on the rapid changes of the last two years. The vertical tutoring system coupled with tutor groups being grouped in Halls has been extended to all year groups. The College has invested heavily in ICT and opened the 'Mega ICT Suite' containing one hundred computers, as part of our commitment to personalising learning for all students. Key staff appointments in the area of Outdoor Pursuits means that we are able to build on the Sports College foundation by broadening the range of activities and experiences we are able to offer our students. The College has developed a personalised approach to learning. In Key Stage Three a skills and competencies curriculum ensures a smoother transition from Primary School. In Years 7 and 8 students are developed to learn independently. In Key Stage Four, which at Westfield Sports College is the Years 9, 10 and 11, students have an individual pathway and the most able Gifted and Talented students are able to take GCSEs and A Levels. Our SEN students have valuable support to ensure they achieve. Students also study off site and at work based placements. We have clear rules and expectations at Westfield Sports College and we expect everyone to respect them. This ensures a safe learning environment.
