Dear Parent / Carer,                                               

I am pleased to be able to invite you to an extremely important Year 8 Progress Evening at the College on Thursday 3^rd May 2012 between 4pm and 7 pm. 

On this occasion, the main focus will be on discussions with form tutors who are well placed to give you a well-informed overview of your child’s progress from both an academic and pastoral view-point.  If you need to speak to a subject teacher in addition to the form tutor, this will of course be possible subject to availability.  

Refreshments and an opportunity to offer feedback on the evening will be provided for you. The College places great emphasis upon involving parents and carers and so we would very much like to see you at this important event.

As you will recall your child received a full written report before Christmas and has in addition received half-termly progress cards. Please bring these with you to the evening as they will inform discussions with the form tutor.

By Monday 23^rd April 2012, your child should have set up an appointment with his/her form tutor and have clearly communicated that time to you.  Appointments will be ten minutes in duration in order to ensure a meaningful conversation.  Appointments can be made for 4.00pm to 4.10pm and then at every ten minute interval with the last possible appointment at 6.50pm.  We would encourage you to contact your child’s form tutor directly if you have any questions or queries about any part of the evening including the time of your appointment.

 A text reminder will also be sent out on Wednesday 18^th April 2012.
