Exam websites can offer a wealth of information for parents/Carers and students. The PDF below (‘Exam Website Guidance for Parents & Carers’) will take you through how to use an exam board website to help your Son/Daughter revise for examinations. You will need some information before you can get started. Ask your Daughter/Son to ask their subject teacher for the following information:
- Exam Board
- Subject Title and Specification Name – this is a code that you can match with exam papers to make sure you have the right papers.
- Which year can you practice exam papers from? (eg 2011). This is important because exam specifications change and you need to know which papers will assess the appropriate subject material.
O2 Learn – a great website that has a number of video lessons that may help your son/daughter understand a difficult concept or support them with revision or homework task. Worth a look!
Parent Channel - a website with lots of information about parenting and education. Click on the tab to see video’s and read articles that are appropriate to the age of your child.
